:: Aha! I fixed the problem. ::

© 2003 MrCodeDude Technologies I knew I was overlooking something and I knew that something had to be in the CSS. It was the pesky a:visited stuff, I still don't get why it is working now though. Oh well, at least it is fixed. I signed up for hosting at Made2Own and already got my domain, so once the nameservers update themselves, I'm all set smile.gif Too bad I leave to Tahoe tomorrow, I won't be able to play with my site until Friday. I tried calling the lady at the office, but I always got the damned answering machine. That means I'll have to figure that out on Friday frown.gif

:: Server hiccup or my eyes are deceiving me ::

© 2003 MrCodeDude Technologies It appears that the link problem has fixed itself. I went to school today to get my schedule changed, the lady was nice about it. She said I was a good kid and she said that I shouldn't drop English 3H just to get better grades. But I told her that I simply wouldn't be able to handle Crowther's demanding course along with AP Calculus AB, but that I felt I could take APUSH along with Calc. tongue.gif

I don't think she understood why I would be dropping one honors class and taking another, but she made the changes but said she'd have to get them confirmed by Ms. Blackerby. This is good and bad. The good is that Ms. Blackerby has dealt with some of my grade problems in the past and is very nice. The bad is that she was just promoted to principal as our old principal retired and she's extremely busy. Maybe she'll recognize the name and be nice, once again. If not, I'll see if I can set up an appointment with her face-to-face to try and explain how important this is for me. Plus it was their screwup. tard.gif

I have to call at 3:00pm to see what Blackerby said, if she said yes, then HURRAY! If she said no, then time to schedule an appointment or bring in my dad to fix everything.

I don't think we'll be going to Tahoe, it's going to be a one day vacation and I doubt we'd do anything on the water since my dad hates water. Maybe if we don't go to Tahoe, my dad can work on getting my schedule changed. smile.gif Or, better yet, let me practice driving biggrin.gif He mentioned something to me yesterday about driving when we went over to our second house to pick fruits off the tree's in the backyard.

I got Bad Boys II last night, if we don't go to Tahoe, I'll watch it tomorrow. I still have to publish Marcus' LAN Bag review on TechFreaks, that's going to be an hour or something of editing. Yay! rolleyes.gif Oh and I gave Brandon the new Black Eyed Peas album, Elephunk. You'll probably find some of his impressions on his Xanga Weblog. Pssh, real men use bug-ridden Coranto. tongue.gif

And I leave you with part of a logged AIM conversation with Marcus:
h20628 (8:40:21 PM): im home alone in the apartment
h20628 (8:40:24 PM): family is staying at new house
h20628 (8:40:27 PM): but no internet =(
Apparently, the boredom drove him to this.

:: Heh, morons ::

© 2003 MrCodeDude Technologies The murder of a 16 year old boy in San Jose is all over news. Him and his best friend (19) were drinking and then started up a drinking game. Who could punch each other harder, until the other backed down. Apparently the 19 year old won. Seriously, why would you punch someone in the chest for fun? Arm, yeah; chest/face/nuts, no.

Tomorrow's the day I *hopefully* go change my schedule. No 3H is good, it makes it so I don't have to read over the summer. But I will still read Grapes of Wrath, prep for regular English 3. rolleyes.gif.

I think I leave for Tahoe on Tuesday, but it's only a 3 day package my dad bought, so that would be Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. With Tuesday and Thursday being half driving. 5 hours in the car, to go to Tahoe for a day? Plus my parents have to go to something at the hotel for timeshares to get the discount rate on the hotel. Basically, my family has tomorrow to figure out if we're going to go or not. tard.gif

:: Who likes pie? I like pie! ::

© 2003 MrCodeDude Technologies So, Sandra's color won the vote. At work, where I got paid $40, I liked Josh's color better. But now that I'm back home on my 32bit 21" screen of goodness, I like Sandra's color. eek13.gif

Time to look over what I was supposed to do and what I did:
1. Resolving Paypal issues
2. Resolving 3H and APUSH issues
3. Update this site
4. Update TechFreaks

#2 doesn't really count though, since I did call the office. They just said the counselors won't be back until August 11th. They can get me out of Crowther by then, I would hope. Shouldn't be that hard, seeing as it was Kennett's mistake. Speaking of which, I should re-organize my case against Kennett. smile.gif I just need the 30 points (I think) and I've got it in the bag then. Of course, I have no proof. She took the Get out of Jail Free passes without giving me their worth in points. Either I get the 30 points or I get the pieces of paper back.

Enough about Kennett, I updated TechFreaks and posted on this site a total of 5 times (including this one) today. Not bad, I over acheived the list. leet.gif

Does anyone watch Big Brother 4? It's really interesting, what sucks is that the first two people voted out of the house are the hot chicks. tard.gif And the last decent chick is on the chopping block for this week. frown.gif This is going to be worse than Survivor 3. But in all seriousness, Big Brother 4 is entertaining to watch. Well, the competitions are.. and that thing, with the chicks, and the lettuce and the plastic wrap. Yeah, that was nice too biggrin.gif You all should watch it, it's on Tuesday's, Wednesday's and Friday's on CBS. Times vary, so check TV Guide or something.

I like Josh's color better, but I'm leaving this up to the all 10 people (if that) who read my blog thing. Click on your color choice to vote (which really just sends me an AIM message).

Josh's Color or Sanrda's Color

:: Reminder to self ::

© 2003 MrCodeDude Technologies Josh found a color that works well against the metal blue background, what does everyone think of this color? I think it works, at least better than the light blue does.

I just called the office and the attendent said the counselors are gone until August 11th. I told her my friends got their schedules fixed a week ago and she said she didn't know how. frown.gif

Maybe I have to go in, but we leave for Tahoe Tuesday.. So yeah, I have Monday to fix my schedule. If possible eek13.gif I don't want 3H frown.gif!

I need more smilies. Preferably the one on AIM with the :-/ expression.

:: Hurray! 1 Hour Update ::

© 2003 MrCodeDude Technologies Finished typing up the session evaluation, took a little bit more than an hour, but since I'm a nice guy, I only charge for an hour. It's one of my only ways of earning/getting money, plus, the pay is good smile.gif

I want to call the school ~1pm, that way they'll be done from their lunch break and be all stuft and lazy and such and just comply with my requests. I didn't know how many of the Star Wars Kids Remixes were being made until now. Wow, that's a lot. The Benny Hill one is pretty stupid, it's just the guy with the stupid Benny Hill Circus music playing in the background. In fact, I don't even think any of them are funny anymore. The only thing that was truely funny at the time was during the Star Wars Remix, it called him the last hope then said, "Talk about being screwed." Now that was hahahaha.gif funny. Oh well, the kids a loser. He dropped out of highschool and finished his school year in the hospital. gaytard.gif

Oh well, enough about him. More of me. What should I do with the $40? I need ideas. At the moment, it's hosting + domains. Got any better ideas?

:: Morning Update eek13.gif ::

© 2003 MrCodeDude Technologies Probably the earliest you'll ever see me up all summer, I'm at my mom's work. Why? New Round Table Pizza, or so my mom claims. I just beat this online game called Space Penguin. My score was ~150,000. See if you can beat it, I would tell you my exact score but when I hit submit score, it just freezes saying, "Submitting Score" frown.gif If anyone is up for it, I want to play a game of Isketch (online pictionary). If you want to play, contact me on AIM. Four people is a good number to start with, but the bigger, the better and more challenging.

I've decided to fix my 3H course today, after lunch. I'll probably have to end up going to the office though frown.gif. As long as they get me out of 3H and into regular 3, then I'm still happy. If not, I'm screwed.

My mom's boss wants me to type up something (yes, I'll be paid for it), but I'm lazy. But if I do this in an hour, submit it with the rest of my invoice (I've done stuff in the past), I'll have $40 of cash. Well, not cash. Just a check made out to my name tongue.gif

With that money, I can buy the hosting and domains I've been planning on purchasing. $40 will get me a year of hosting and 2 domains. smile.gif Then again, I could just get 5 domains and leech off of Marcus' hosting.. biggrin.gif But that all works on the assumption that I actually do type up the stuff, I have to do it by 1:30pm today to get paid today. Maybe I should start, finish in an hour (tops), eat lunch, then get my schedule changed. That works out perfectly, I guess I should get started.. Or maybe I'll procrastinate and play iSketch until 4:00pm. Who knows?

:: Cha.. Cha.. Cha.. Changes. Turn and face the strange. ::

© 2003 MrCodeDude Technologies I modified the site a little today, I realized that embedded links within my text looked the same as the text. I decided this needs changing, unfortuantly, not a whole lot of colors go well against the metalblue background. The light blue I chose doesn't blend well either. Anyone got any suggestions? Maybe a bold orange?

Tomorrow I get to try some new Round Table pizza. smile.gif And because I have to go to work with my mom to get the pizza, that might mean I might get some things accomplished. Such as:
1. Resolving Paypal issues
2. Resolving 3H and APUSH issues
3. Update this site
4. Update TechFreaks

Heh, this list sucks. Why can't all my problems go away magically? Lists are gay.gif. It's like they just parade around going gayrepost.gif and hahahaha.gif, you have to do work. frown.gif!

:: WE BUILT THIS CITY... ::

© 2003 MrCodeDude Technologies ... ON ROCK AND ROLL.

Best. Song. Ever. Today Vivek and I went to Carls Jr/Popeyes, SaveMart and California Video. I noticed something when we got lunch, Kids Meals are great deals. I got my lunch @ Carls Jr., a Cheeseburger Kids Meal (Cheeseburger, Fries, Drink and a Toy) for $2.50 including tax. I figure each the cheeseburger, fries and drink are all ~$1 each themselves, plus I get a (not-so)neato toy. Not bad.

We went to SaveMart for, guess what, it's coming, PENS AND PENCILS for Vivek. I think he paid $10+ for a couple pens and pencils. I bought a thing of Spree Chewy sweet-tart things for $.25 biggrin.gif I already have enough pens and pencils, but if I ever were to buy some more, I'd go through eBay. Maybe sell off the ones I don't need and even make some money wink.gif

I wanted to go to Benitek (computer store) to pick up a USB keyboard, but their staff had gone to lunch until 2pm. We got out of SaveMart at 1:30, so I needed to kill 30 minutes. So we went to California Video, today was Rent 1, Get 1 Free, so I picked up Dirty Work on VHS and Vivek got Hannibal on DVD. I've never seen Silence of the Lambs, so I didn't understand anything during Hannibal, nor did I care. But Dirty Work is genius; who would have guessed it was directed by Danny Tanner (Bob Saget)? If you haven't seen Dirty Work, I suggest you see it. It also has previews of some movies I now want to see. smile.gif Anyway, Vivek and I went to Benitek looking for a USB Keyboard, but then Vivek said, "Wait, I have a USB Keyboard." It was the Logitech Elite one I sold him tongue.gif

I read some headlines, mainly about the Star Wars Kid suing the students who put up the video.
The four students who allegedly put the video on the Internet are facing a $250,000 lawsuit. It claims Raza has suffered "harassment," "ridicule" and "persecution" at school and in the public at large.

When 500 people laugh at you every noon when you walk into the cafeteria, it can't be easy," says Rafael Jacob.
Come on, please. People laugh at him EVERY DAY? I could see for maybe the week all the remakes were being released, but after a week or so, he was no longer worth laughing at. Not to mention the initial host of the file already gave the kid $5,000 and an iPod.

As I posted before, my laptop is in the beginning stages of death. Certain keys don't work and it seems, the more use it gets, the more keys that don't work. Using Vivek's USB keyboard, I was able to log onto the Administrator account and transfer all the files from the laptop to my computer. Assuming my hard-drive doesn't die on me *knocks on wood*, all will be dandy by next week. smile.gif I wonder if I should clear the laptop's hard-drive though or would that make it suspicious when my dad takes in the laptop? glare.gif

:: I screwed up. [Adventures with Paypal] ::

© 2003 MrCodeDude Technologies I do odd jobs on the internet for money, this latest job involved me sending emails and such. The only bad thing is that I'm payed by Credit Card over PayPal. I hadn't done work for this guy in probably over 3 months, and last time because of PayPal being NAZI, it took ~2 weeks to get payment.

So now, the guy once again tries to send me payment by Credit Card. I won't upgrade my account, allowing Paypal to take money on all my transactions. So I create an new account, except I spell my name wrong. I spell it Michel instead of Michael. I think, no big deal. I accept the money on this new account and then try to send it to my main PayPal account. No dice. I need to get verified. Getting verified involves giving them either my CC info (which I don't have) or my Savings Account information. This is where the Michel mistake screws me over. Under PayPal, it reads Michel, under bank account, reads Michael. I wonder if it will create that much of a contraversy.. Until I try and change my name on my PayPal account, turns out, a while ago, I already registered a PayPal account to Michael. hahahaha.gif No big deal, I'll just cancel that account and change the name. Nope, no dice. I forgot my old PayPal password and am now screwed. Locked out of one account and unable to do anything in the other. Time to call PayPal? I think so.

I have a plan.
1. Get new password for the Michael account.
2. Transfer all money from that account -> my main account
3. Cancel that account
4. Request change in my name no Michel name
5. Get verified
6. Transfer all money from that account -> my main account
7. ...
8. Profit!

This process will probably take a week or so to get all sorted out. Especially if I have to verify my Michael account first. :( Maybe they'll do that when I send in my banking information to recover my password?

:: In-N-Out = Nasty++ ::

© 2003 MrCodeDude Technologies I went to In-N-Out tonight, it was my idea after I had that tastylicious Strawberry shake a few weeks back. Anyway, I ordered a 2x2 and fries.

$3.90 on a burger and fries (it was take-out and I had drinks at home) is already kind of steep, but money is not of concern. People have been telling me that In-N-Out is quality, not cost.

So, I tell the perky asshole at the counter for a Double Double, no onions, no lettuce, no tomato. What I was unaware of is that they put on this shitty Thousand Island Dressing or whatever on the burger instead of mustard and ketchup. First of all, WTF? Next, the burger looked good, but looked very slopilly made. There was Thousand Island Dressing all over the bottom bun, the burgers and cheese were not aligned with either bun, it just looked sloppy.

So, after scraping off the Thousand Island Dressing off both the patty and the bun and then applying the ketchup and mustard myself, I took my first bite. Not bad. Took another bite, the cheese was too 'rubbery.' I'm not a fan of American cheese by all means, but I rarely notice it at other fast food joints such as Burger King, McDonalds or Carls Jr. With this burger, I could taste the rubber and grease. Not to mention the bottom bun seemed to be soaked in that rancid Thousand Island Dressing.

So that was the burger (which I could barely force down my throat), next were the Fries. The Fries had a little crispiness to them during the beginning of my meal, but got soggier exponentially. To the point where I couldn't deem them to be eadible anymore.

I was able to finish the burger (with the help of a trusty Mt. Dew), gave my sister the fries and now here I am writing this post. My stomach doesn't seem to want to settle down, so I'm drinking Mt. Dew by the 24oz bottle smile.gif

© 2003 MrCodeDude Technologies I've been reading over my schedule for next year, I read
WITH THE EXCEPTION OF STUDENTS WHO SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED COURSE WORK THIS SUMMER, ABSOLUTELY NO ELECTIVE CHANGES CAN OR WILL BE MADE.

Even with the school systems twisted words, English and History are not electives (though this year, Math and Science are), so I'm under the impression that I can change them.

I'm going to read Grapes of Wrath either way, if I go into regular English, I'll just have a head-start. And I need to talk to people who have taken ICA 3.. I'm assuming it's another remedial 'learn to type' classes, but I just need confirmation.

Didn't do that much today, I went to Costco and got a big 5lb bag of Sour Gummy Worms for the plane flight over there. I want to go get some Wheat Thins or something too. Maybe Pringles or those Peach Ring things. Went to soccer practice, I guess Brandon is joining the team. That's good, but it could also be shensign.gif.
